The 12/06 episode of Friday Night SmackDown is the Survivor Series fallout show as the final PLE of 2024 concluded at the Rogers Arena on November 30. The 12/06 show of the Blue brand will be aired live from the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, U.S.A. The episode will feature segments that transpired during the final PLE, which featured two WarGames matches and three title clashes.
The Women’s US title tournament will continue this week as Noami, Tiffany Stratton, and Elektra Lopez will face each other in a triple-threat match. The triple threat action is the final opening round match in the tournament. Bayley, Michin, and Chelsea Green have advanced to the semi-finals after winning their respective first-round matches last month. The final match of the tournament will take place at WWE Saturday Night’s Main event on December 14 in Long Island, New York. As mentioned above, the Blue brand episode this week is the fallout show from Survivor Series and will likely feature the developments that took place at the final PLE. Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline suffered a brutal defeat against the team of Roman Reigns, The Usos, Sami Zayn, and CM Punk in the men’s WarGames match. Shinsuke Nakamura on the other hand, defeated LA Knight to become the United States Champion for the third time in his WWE career. Nia Jax and her company which consists of Tiffany Stratton and Candice LeRae also suffered defeat in the women’s WarGames match. The winners and losers from the PLE will likely appear on the 12/06 show to address their performances or feuds at the Target Center in Minneapolis.
The team of Johnny Gargano and Tomasso Ciampa (#DIY) has been dealing with a lot of turmoil mainly due to Ciampa’s actions. The main reason behind Ciampa’s outrage is the negligence of the current tag champion Motor City Machine Guns’ hesitance in giving them a title shot. However, in last week’s episode, Ciampa gave an ultimatum to Gargano that if Johnny is unable to convince MCMG to give #DIY their title shot he will handle things his way. Gargano probably agrees with his tag partner as his demeanor in last week’s segment suggested. If the tag champs deny #DIY the title opportunity, Ciampa and Gargano might attack Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin.
Tiffany Stratton is scheduled to face Noami and Elektra Lopez in the final match of the opening round of the Women’s US title tournament. The winner of the match will join Bayley, Michin, and Chelsea Green in the semi-finals of the tournament. The inaugural champion will be crowned on December 14 at Saturday Night’s Main Event, as the tournament reaches its conclusion. Stratton will pick up the win in the final match of the opening round on this week’s episode. This might happen due to her friend and Women’s Champion Nia Jax’s interference. Jax might agree to help Stratton win the US title in exchange for Tiffany agreeing not to cash in her MITB contract on Jax.
Undisputed WWE champion Cody Rhodes is set to defend his title against Kevin Owens on December 14 at Saturday Night’s Main Event in Long Island, New York. The two stars were engaged in a war of words in the last week’s episode where things got very personal. However, the WWE security prevented any physical altercation. On this week’s episode, the promotion will start the build-up for the title clash at SNME. Owens could launch a brutal attack on Rhodes in this week’s episode to send a message ahead of their title clash next week.
